Canterbury have been taking extra measures in making sure their classrooms are sanitized and that the children are washing their hands appropriately and more often throughout the days.
NAEYC has been working closely with the Center for Disease Control (CDC) as the CDC has been considering the implications of the flu pandemic for early childcare. With the recent outbreak of the swine influenza, the Center for Disease Control has requested that NAEYC inform our community of the following precautions to prevent the potential spread of swine influenza.
For more detailed information about what child care providers should be doing to prevent the potential infection or spread of this disease, please click here.

Have you seen dangerous driving around the University?
Under the direction of the Student Government Police Advisory Board, UM Police has launched an online Traffic Complaint Form. The form allows community members to anonymously submit information on driving infractions they observe around the Coral Gables campus. Information received will be regularly analyzed to better guide the times, locations, and types of traffic infraction enforcement initiatives conducted by UM Police. Extremely dangerous and reckless driving observed can be reported to police immediately via telephone. To access the form, visit www.miami.edu/police<http://www.miami.edu/police> and click on the "Traffic Complaint Form" picture link. Questions may be directed to the UMPD Crime Prevention Office at 305-284-1105.
